A pair of 1980's silver commemorative goblets, the flared cup to each having a gilt interior and planished surface above an openwork oak leaf and acorn cylinder enclosing a gilt figure of a horse and foal, raised upon a further planished spreading base having commemorative inscription and number beneath. Hallmarked Hector Miller, London 1980 below Aurum mark. Height measures 6 4/8 inches (16.5 cm), gross weight 22.61 ozt (703.1 grams).
'Number 165/6 By order of The New Forest Ninth Century Trust the goblet has been produced to mark the 900th anniversary of the forest in 1979.'
