Lot Description

A collection of six books on silver and plate, to include 'An Illustrated History of English Plate' by Charles James Jackson, Volumes One and Two, The Holland Press, London, edition published 1967, also 'English Goldsmiths and their Marks', by Sir Charles James Jackson, B. T. Batsford Ltd., London, reprinted and published 1949. Together with a 1928 illustrated catalogue entitled 'Cutlery and Silver Plate' for George Butler & Co Ltd., Sheffield, a further illustrated catalogue for J. B. Chatterley & Sons, a book on metals and a plated candlestick marked Barker-Ellis with a matched three branch candelabrum top. (8).
