Total lot weight: No

Both items appear in fairly good overall condition, displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Numerous heavier scratches, nicks and contact marks are visible. A few minor dints. The cover does not sit quite correctly to the dish. On the cover, there is a yellowish, brownish patch around both crests indicating removal of plating around the crest and it is probable that a previous crest has been removed. The hallmarks to the crown finial and to the platter are clear and legible. The meat platter is also impressed to the underside 'Hunt & Roskell Late Storr & Mortimer 1751 London.'
