Lot Description

A late George III silver teapot and matching cream jug, each of bulbous oblong form with chased floral, foliate and scroll motifs  surrounding vacant cartouche, and raised on four ball feet, hallmarked Thomas Wallis (II) & Jonathan Hayne, London 1810. Together with a slightly later matched sugar bowl with gadroon rim above similar decoration, hallmarked Solomon Hougham, Solomon Royes & John East Dix, London 1817. Length of teapot measures 11 inches (28 cm), gross weight 28.13 ozt (875 grams).

Total lot weight: No

All three pieces display some general wear, surface scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some small dints and bumps. Flattening or loss of detail to some of the decoration. Likely repair or alteration to teapot finial. The handle is also very loose as there is some damage to the pins, which requires attention. Possible small solder repairs to sugar bowl and the feet are a little compressed. The hallmarks to the teapot are clear and legible, the hallmarks on the other pieces are quite rubbed but still legible.
