A late nineteenth century small Russian silver shovel, engraved monogram to bowl reverse and having a short knopped stem with bulbous terminal. Russian assay marks and dated 1888. Length measuring 4 3/8 inches (11 cm), weight 1.23 ozt (38.2 grams).

The shovel appears in good overall condition, displaying some general wear and tarnishing. Some surface marks and scratches are visible. The bowl has a yellowish tinge, possibly once gilded? Assay marks are mostly clear and legible.
