Lot Description
A William & Mary silver Apostle spoon, the oval bowl with slightly tapered and faceted stem to the Apostle terminal with traces of gilding and radiant nimbus. Hallmarked London 1689, with the maker's mark E? within a shield, similar to the mark of Edward Hulse. Length measuring 7 1/4 inches (18.5 cm), weight 1.7 ozt (55.8 grams).

Condition Report
The lot displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Appears to have been abrasively cleaned. Some furrows and pits to the surface. Joins of the stem have become visible. Gilding worn to finial, but good definition remains to the Apostle. Wear to striking edge of the bowl. Hallmarks are rubbed to parts but otherwise legible.
