An early twentieth century silver mounted tortoiseshell purse, having scrolling foliate and bird motif inlay to the tortoiseshell panels within the floral silver mounts, opening to reveal a concertina interior. Hallmarked London 1919. Length measures 5 inches (12.75 cm).

Overall in good condition, displaying minor surface scratches to tortoiseshell and rubbing to silver mounts. Hinge in good working order and with slight wear and fraying to interior lining. Maker's mark is worn and so illegible, other hallmarks clear.
