Lot Description

A 1930's silver cigarette case of rectangular form, having incised diagonal line decoration throughout and push release hinged opening to a silver-gilt interior. Hallmarked Jacques Cartier, London 1936. Measuring 4 3/4 inches (12 cm) by 3 1/4 inches (8.3 cm), gross weight 6.29 ozt (195.5 grams).

The case appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general surface scratches, marks and wear. It is quite tarnished and would benefit from a clean and polish. Push release mechanism and hinged lid appear in good working order. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
