A French silver box of circular form with reeded borders and floral spray accents, the hinged cover inset with an enamel panel, probably Limoges, depicting a profile portrait of a young lady in shades of pink and deep burgundy, signed. French assay marks. Box diameter measuring 3 1/2 inches (8.8 cm).

Condition Report
The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Hinge broken and would require attention. A few small surface chips to the enamel, in particular on the central hair area, further large crude repair to the bottom left background area bordering the dress. Monogram signature to right hand side of the portrait, possibly LR. Dents to inner rim. Some gilding worn. French assay marks worn to parts.
