Lot Description

A Victorian novelty silver mounted scent bottle, the tapered amber glass body with screw cover modelled as an owl with glass eyes. Hallmarked London 1894, the maker probably Sampson Mordan & Co. Height measuring 8 cm.

In good overall condition. The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Glass with a couple of minor surface contact chips. A little rubbing to the definition on the collar of the silver cover. The hallmarks are clear and legible. Maker's mark only partly legible.
