Lot Description

An early Victorian silver vinaigrette, the oblong form with scalloped edge, the base engraved with a view of Gloucester Cathedral, and the hinged cover opening to a silver-gilt interior with scroll pierced grille. Hallmarked Edward Smith, Birmingham 1846. Length measuring 3.5 cm, weight 18 grams.
