Lot Description

An early twentieth century silver cream jug, the oval form with bead moulded rim and girdle detail. Hallmarked Barker Brothers (Herbert Edward Barker & Frank Ernest Barker), Chester 1918. Maximum height measures 3 1/2 inches (9 cm), weight 4.61 ozt (143.4 grams).

The jug appears in good overall condition, displaying some light general wear, surface scratches, marks and tarnishing. Interior was likely once gilded but this is now faded. The hallmarks appear rubbed but legible, maker's mark partly worn but still legible.
