A George I walnut chest on stand
Early 18th century
The cavetto-moulded top above two short and three long cockbeaded drawers each with punch-decorated brass handles and escutcheons, the stand with wavy apron and cabriole legs, overall 38" x 21" x 53" high, (96.5cm x 53cm x 134cm), (s/d).

General cracking and lifting to roof.Joint wideing to cross-grain mouldings.Cracks to side panels. Extensive losses to cockbeading and stand veneer. Stand may be a marriage, though appears to be period. One quadrant to cabriole leg missing. Some old worm scarring.
Overall-requires significant restoration.
