A mid 19th century gold portrait miniature and diamond pendant. The oval-shape miniature, depicting Cupid, with quiver of arrows, anchor and macerated hair detail, to the old-cut diamond surround and surmount loop. Estimated total diamond weight 2cts. Length 5.2cms. Weight 11.4gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Brooch fittings deficient.
<li>Slight soft solder visible.
<li>Surmount is detachable, the jump ring would still be visible from front if surmount removed.
<li>Diamonds in closed back settings, presumed foil-back. Diamonds appear fairly well matched.
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Painting appears to be on fabric.
<li>Macerated hair to the hair, wings and anchor.
