An early 20th century French platinum diamond brooch. The lobed quatrefoil miniature depicting a woman reclining on a wheatsheaf with scythe and neoclassical borders, to the vari-cut diamond marquise-shape surround and pearl drop. Miniature signed Paillet. French assay marks. Length 3.4cms. Weight 10.2gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Diamonds well matched.
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Shallow chip to the glass on the inside (approximate 9 o'clock position).
<li>Miniature with copper reverse, recently cleaned, slight discolouration.
<li>Slight deterioration to the paint.
<li>Pearl untested for natural origin.
<li>Pearl is a pearly white hue, off-round.
