Lot Description

Three items of mid Victorian memorial jewellery. The imitation pearl double row necklace has a rectangular clasp with central hair panel and split pearl surround, together with a similar bracelet and a memorial brooch with split pearl and blue gem surround. AF. Imitation pearl rows later added. Lengths 2 to 48cms.

Condition Report

Overall fair to poor condition. The imitation pearls are replacements. The necklace clasp has five missing split pearls and one dyed grey replacement split pearl. The bracelet needs re-stringing. Both glass panels to the clasps show abrasion. The glass panel to the brooch has a large central chip and a replacement pin, there is an engraving to the reverse of the brooch that reads G.S - A.S JP.
