A mid Victorian gold amethyst brooch, circa 1860. The oval-shape amethyst, within a scroll and shell surround, suspending three swags and a similarly designed drop. Length 8.5cms. Weight 16.3gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Areas of dark discolouration to the detail in areas.
<li>Some possible replacement links to the swags, some slight areas of damage to joining links.
<li>Possible replacement amethysts.
<li>Areas vary in colour, one with a weaker saturation of colour.
