A 19th century Bilston enamel pillbox, of oval form, the hinged cover decorated with text upon a blue bordered, white glazed ground, 'Friendships a name for ever blest, in that I live and love to test', lifting to reveal a mirrored panel to its underside, 1.75" (4.5cm) wide, (s/d), together with another similar example, the hinged cover decorated with a winged angel, in her right hand carrying a scroll reading 'Peace with the world', lifting to reveal a mirrored panel to its underside.
