A mid-Victorian inlaid walnut lap desk, having crossbanded inlay and mother-of-pearl lozenge escutcheon and engraved cartouche to the hinged and sloping covers opening to reveal a compartmented interior and a morocco lined writing surface above a further concealed compartment, 11.75" (30cm) long.
