A 19th century Chinese 'Jian', the reeded rosewood handle of ovoid shaped form, with shaped brass pommel and hilt, each decorated with symbols and characters, the tortoiseshell veneered scabbard with similar brass fittings and further decoration with symbols of bats, the blade 17" (43cm), overall 24" (61cm), together with an antique percussion cap pistol, the shaped wooden handle with brass fittings, 17" (43.25cm) long, and an antique percussion cap shotgun (incomplete), 46.5" (118cm) long.

All items with damage, wear and losses.
Sword has damage and losses to tortoiseshell, mounts are worn and distorted in shape in some areas, particularly to hilt. Blade rusted and worn, possibly slightly shortened.
Stock to pistol is worn and has heavy scratching indentations and other knocks and marks, steel fittings are heavily rusted.
Rifle lacks striker, and is in 'as found' condition.
