Lot Description
A 19th century carved, well detailed, wooden model of the brig or topsail schooner, 'The Gratitude of Fleetwood', the teak hull with simulated planked deck, deck house, wheel house and other fittings, sold with a letter dated 1972 from the National Maritime Museum, detailing a ship named the Gratitude built 1852, which disappears from the Lloyds register in 1875, 28" x 19" (71cm x 18.25cm).

The model is in a dilapidated state with loose masts and booms, rigging is incomplete and in a poor state. Some damage to fittings, minor damage to deck, some additional loose fittings included with model. See images.
