A portrait miniature, depicting head and shoulder portrait of the Duchess of Marlborough wearing blue floral dress and black hat having floral sprays, with indistinct signature above left hand shoulder and detailed 'The Duchess of Marlborough 1792' verso, on an oval ivory panel and within oval brass frame under glass, the frame having rope twist border, frame measures 1.5" x 2", (3.75cm x 5cm).

The panel appears in fair condition although possibly has been trimmed as the signature appears to go over the edge slightly, and the panel is too small for the frame. Glass and frame are in fair condition although with wear and fraying to backing.
