A good early 20th century lantern-style mantel clock
Winterhalder & Hoffmeier, Germany
The 5.5-inch silvered chapter ring with Roman hours, Arabic minutes and half hour divisions framing a matted centre within putto mask spandrels, the two-train movement stamped 'W&H Sch', striking on two bells, the case with strapped bell surmount over scroll crestings and bulbous finials on sunken columns, sun-cast side doors and turned feet, 15.75", (40cm) high.
