Lot Description

A 1930's silver mug, of plain baluster form having a foliate capped scrolling handle and raised upon a stepped foot. Hallmarked William Neale & Son Ltd., Birmingham 1939, height measures 5 inches (12.75 cm). Together with a plated lidded tankard with thumb-rest and scroll handle, double struck maker's mark to the handle, possibly F F. C?, retailers mark for Clarkson Northallerton to the underneath. Weight of silver mug 8.33 ozt (259 grams).

The mug appears in good condition displaying minor rubbing to surface. Hallmarks are clear and legible. Some minor chips to the plating on the tankard, with a cast hole to the handle as made. Double struck maker's mark to the handle, possibly F F.C?, retailers mark for Clarkson Northallerton to the underneath.
