Lot Description

A 1920's small silver salver of shaped circular form, the raised and everted rim having fluted and lobed detail and enclosing a plain centre. Hallmarked Joseph Gloster Ltd., Birmingham 1929. Maximum diameter measures 8 1/2 inches (21.5 cm), weight 8.47 ozt (263.5 cm).

The salver displays general wear, surface marks, scratches and tarnishing. There are a number of stippled or pin prick marks visible to the centre. A few shallow dints. On the underside, there are three small solder marks visible, possibly hole repairs? The hallmarks are clear and legible, maker's marks partly rubbed but still legible.
