Lot Description
A mid-twentieth century Irish silver swing-handled basket, octagonal sided with beaded rim above diaper pierced sides to a plain centre and the whole raised on four stylised paw feet. Hallmarked Jewellery & Metal Manufacturing Co Ltd., Dublin 1947. Maximum length measures 10 1/4 inches (26 cm), weight 16.75 ozt (521 grams).

Condition Report
The basket appears in good overall condition, displaying some general wear, tarnishing, surface marks and scratches. Some minor surface dints/bumps. Knocks to a couple of the feet so that it wobbles very slightly. Swing handle appears in good working order. Possible repair around one of the handle joins to the main body. Hallmarks are clear and legible, also part hallmark to handle.
