A Middle Eastern double salt or spice box, formed as two bowls decorated with foliate borders below twin rotating domed covers having bud and crescent moon finials, the whole raised upon six hoof feet. Unmarked. Length measures 5 1/8 inches (13 cm).

Overall in poor condition with heavy rubbing and wear throughout. The hinge is loose and the covers each with slight distortion and knocks. Distortion also to feet and so does not stand firm. This piece is unmarked.
