Lot Description
A pair of nineteenth century French silver coasters, each of plain circular form with gadroon rim and monogrammed to the centre. French assay marks comprising Minerva for 950 standard and maker's mark for Etienne-Auguste Courtois (1834-1847 Paris). Diameter measuring 5 1/4 inches (13.3 cm), weight 6.14 ozt (191 grams).

Condition Report
Both coasters display general wear, tarnishing, surface marks and scratches. Also surface nicks and minor dints. One of the coasters is in a fairly worn state with numerous bumps and dints, heavy staining and is slightly out of shape. Assay marks are clearly legible, maker's marks a little rubbed but still legible.
