Lot Description

A George II Scottish silver Hanoverian pattern table spoon, having initialled reverse terminal, hallmarked Edinburgh 1759, probably John Welsh, length measures 8 4/8 inches (21.5 cm). Together with a late Victorian silver fitted dessert knife and fork set, having initialled terminals and foliate engraved silver blade and fork, hallmarked Hilliard & Thompson, Birmingham 1878, a late Victorian silver caddy spoon having star pierced and fluted bowl, hallmarked J R Ltd., Birmingham 1898, plus three pickle forks, three silver mounted cut glass vanity jars and two 1920's silver and enamel 'Stourport & Dist Motorcycle & Light Car Club medals. Gross weight excluding glass jars 7.01 ozt (217.9 grams).

Overall the lot appears in fair condition. The Scottish spoon in fair condition displaying general rubbing throughout, surface scratches, minor compression to centre of bowl and hallmarks are worn. Dessert set with rubbing to handles causing loss of definition, damage to knife terminal and are hallmarked to blade and fork fitting only. Pickle forks each with dints to forks with rubbing and wear to handles, one not marked. One silver cover to glass jar damaged and split, all three with small dents and wear. One glass jar damaged with losses.
