Lot Description

A William IV silver teapot of compressed bulbous form, the plain body having a gadroon rim and slightly domed, hinged lid with stained wood finial, the whole with leaf capped handle and raised on four foliate scrolled feet with shell detail. Hallmarked Richard Pearce & George Burrows, London 1831. Maximum length measuring 11 inches (28 cm), gross weight 23 ozt (715.3 grams).

The teapot appears in good overall condition, displaying some general wear, tarnishing, surface marks and scratches. Heavier staining to interior. Minor surface dints/bumps. Hinged lid appears in good working order. The hallmarks are clear and legible, also corresponding part hallmarks to lid and handle.
