Lot Description
A late nineteenth century porcelain scent bottle, the compressed circular form with painted decoration depicting an owl perched on a branch to one side and a bird in flight with butterflies to the other, with globular silver screw cover hallmarked C C May & Sons (Charles May), Birmingham 1896, height measuring 5.2 cm. Together with two opaque glass examples, both circular with white metal mounts, one with suspension chain and finger ring. (3).

Condition Report
All three scent bottles display general wear, surface marks and scratches. Tarnishing to the metal mounts. Some of the decoration on the porcelain bottle is quite rubbed and worn. A few minor dints to silver lid. The hallmarks are clear and legible. Some minor nibbles and hairline cracks to glass bottles. The chain on one of the glass bottles is broken. The hinged lids appear in working order.
