Lot Description
A late Victorian novelty silver scent bottle, the egg shaped body with engraved initials and foliate spray and with screw cover realistically modelled as a chick. Hallmarked Chester 1893, maker's mark very worn but probably Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd. Height measures 3.8 cm, gross weight 7.72 grams.

Condition Report
The bottle appears in fairly good overall condition displaying some general wear, surface marks, scratches and tarnishing in keeping with the age and general use. The hallmarks are a little rubbed but legible, maker's mark is very worn. The chick head does not appear to be hallmarked.
