Lot Description
A French silver-gilt mounted scent bottle, the cylindrical clear glass body having a hinged cover inset with a garnet cabochon, French guarantee marks including the boar, height measuring 6.7 cm. Together with a late nineteenth century silver scent bottle with glass stopper, also of cylindrical form, hallmarked Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd, Chester 1890, height measuring 4 cm. (2).

Condition Report
Both bottles display some general wear, tarnishing, surface marks and scratches. A few minor surface dints to both with more to the Chester silver example. Hinged lids appear in good working order. French example missing stopper.
