Lot Description
A George IV silver wine label for Madeira, with gadroon, shell and foliate border, hallmarked Ledsam, Vale & Wheeler, Birmingham 1829, length measuring 4.5 cm. Together with a matched pair of mid-Victorian silver labels of plain octagonal form and engraved for Whiskey and Gin, hallmarked Colen Hewer Cheshire, Birmingham 1865 and 1868, and a Victorian mother-of-pearl and silver folding fruit knife, hallmarked Sheffield 1876. Weight of labels 12.89 grams.

Condition Report
All the items display some general wear, tarnishing, surface marks and scratches in keeping with their age and general use. The Madeira label is missing chain. The chain on the Gin label is in need of repair. Some small chips and nibbles to edges of mother-of-pearl. The knife does not fold away properly. All the hallmarks are clear and legible.
