An Edwardian silver vesta case of oblong form with scalloped edge, foliate decoration and engraved monogram to the centre shield panel, hallmarked John Rose, Birmingham 1906, width measuring 3cm. Together with a plain silver cigarette case of slightly curved oblong form, engraved initials and date to opposing corners, hallmarked Stokes & Ireland Ltd (William Henry Stokes & Arthur George Ireland), 1919, plus a circular silver mounted engine-turned compact and a silver engine-turned money clip with vacant cartouche. Gross weighable silver 5.39 ozt (167.7 grams). (4).

Total lot weight: No

All items appear in overall fair condition, displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Cigarette case has an approx 1 cm length hole to the edge near the hinge, with minor dents and bumps to the corners and top. The push mechanism on the cigarette case has lost its spring and does not lock fully and flush. Personal inscription for 'A.G.R. 15-1-20' to opposing corners. The compact with 'A' initial to centre panel, with some rubbing and loss of definition to the edges, heavier marks and tarnishing to one side. Mirror intact inside the compact with remnants of powder and makeup present, would benefit from a clean. Hallmarks are slightly rubbed but all still legible.
