Lot Description

A pair of George V silver open salts, of squat form having and having blue glass liners plus matching condiment spoons, hallmarked E S Barnsley, Birmingham 1915. Together with a pair of George IV Scottish silver sugar tongs having shell terminals, William Forrest & Co., Edinburgh 1829, a late Victorian silver helmet jug, probably George Nathan & Ridley Haynes, Chester 1897, plus a silver handled letter opener and two pairs of cased silver cufflinks. Gross weighable silver 8.17 ozt (254.0 grams).

The lot appears in overall good to fair condition. Open salts displaying minor tarnishing and glass liners in good condition although possibly associated. Sugar tongs with minor rubbing and tarnishing. Jug with light tarnishing throughout and slight distortion to foot and so does not stand firm. Letter opener with heavy rubbing to the silver handle.
