Lot 94

Lot Description

A matched pair of early twentieth century silver pepper pots of baluster form and raised on stylised paw feet, hallmarked Brook & Son, Sheffield 1918 (one lid hallmarked Reid & Sons, London 1918). Together with a late Victorian silver open salt with floral scroll piercing, hallmarked Birmingham 1897, a further Edwardian silver salt with glass liner and two silver pepper pots. Weight 5.73 ozt (178.3 grams).

Total lot weight: No

All the pieces display some general wear, surface marks, scratches and tarnishing in keeping with their age and general use. Heavier tarnishing to some. A few minor dints. The Edwardian salt has a couple of tiny holes and visible solder repairs along seam lines, and likely replacement liner. Some rubbing and partial distortion to hallmarks but mostly clear and legible.
