Lot Description
An open face pocket watch by J.W Benson. 9ct yellow gold case, hallmarked Birmingham 1928. Unsigned keyless wind fifteen jewel movement with club tooth lever escapement. White enamel dial with Arabic numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six. 49mm. 89gms.

<li>Movement is currently functioning.
<li>Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye.
<li>Dial shows some marks.
<li>Hands show marks and tarnishing. Hour hand shows some surface rust. Hands may be later replacements. Seconds hand is too long for subsidiary dial.
<li>Glass has some small marks and shows a flaw between the centre and three o'clock.
<li>Case shows scratches, marks and dints. Case band shows visible scratches which looks to have occurred when opening in the past.
<li>Crown is currently functioning correctly; the surface has scratches and marks. Crown has wear to the plating.
<li>Pendent and bow have light scratching.<p>
<p>This lot does not come with box or papers but includes an unrelated watch key.<p>
