An early 20th century gold spinel and diamond brooch. The old-cut diamond, with an oval-shape red spinel openwork surround, on an old-cut diamond bar with cushion-shape spinel terminals. Estimated total diamond weight 1ct, J-K colour, SI2-P1 clarity. Length 5.3cms. Weight 4.1gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li> Evidence of repair to one of the diamond collets.<p>
<li>Spinels medium slight orangish red, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.<p>
<li>Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.<p>
<li> Two diamonds with chips to facet edges. <p>
