CARTIER - a mid 20th century 14ct gold enamel and sapphire stamp holder. Designed as an envelope, with enamel stamp and sapphire cabochon clasp, opening to reveal two stamp holder compartments. Signed Cartier. Length 3.4cms. Weight 21.6gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li> Losses to enamel stamp edges and surface scratch visible with magnification. <p>
<li>Sapphire medium to dark blue, fairly well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions.<p>
<li>Sapphire in poor condition with abrasion to cabochon dome.<p>
<li>Stamped 14k. Engraved 'HOPE HOLLISTER / EAST HAMPTON, N.Y.' to front. <p>
