A late Victorian gold ruby and diamond cluster ring, circa 1880. The oval-shape ruby, within an old and single-cut diamond marquise-shape surround, to the scrolling shoulders. Estimated total diamond weight 0.70ct. Ring size K. Weight 6.7gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Diamonds well matched.
<li>Diamonds bright.<p>
<li>Significant chip to one of the outer diamonds and some surface reaching inclusions.
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Three replacement single-cut diamonds.
<li>Ruby medium reddish pink, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions, some visible with the unaided eye.<p>
<li>Stone in fairly good condition with minor abrasions, there are a couple of small chips to the table facet edge.<p>
