MURRLE BENNETT & CO. - an early 20th century 15ct gold opal and split pearl necklace. The pear-shape opal cabochon and split pearl cluster, suspended from a similarly-set twin bow, ribbon and foliate sides, to the integral trace-link back-chain. Maker's mark for Murrle Bennett & Co. Length 46.4cms. Weight 8.9gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Some surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Split pearls well matched, minor discolouration.
<li>Principal opal with good play of colour across a range of hues.
<li>Circular opals with good play of colour. Two of the smaller opals have chips.
<li>Stamped 15ct to drop on the pendant and the clasp.
<li>Length of gem-set section 8.8cms. Length of drop from bow to cluster 4.8cms.
