A mid Victorian gold foil-back garnet brooch, circa 1860. Designed as a scrolling foliate engraved bow, set with oval garnet cabochon collets, suspending a similarly-designed drop. Length 4.7cms. Weight 8.5gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. <p>
<li> Some garnet possible replacement. <p>
<li> Foil-back garnet medium to fairly dark purplish-red, well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions, some of which can be seen with the naked eye.<p>
<li>Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.<p>
