Lot 101

Lot Description

A pair of Edwardian silver bud vases, the filled bases leading to a facetted and fluted stem, rising to the shaped circular lip, hallmarked Roberts & Belk Ltd., Sheffield 1903. Maximum height measures 7 1/8 inches (18 cm).

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. One vase appears off centre from the foot causing it to not stand fully flat, and is slightly shorter approx 17 cm. One lip slightly more everted than the other. Both stamped R D 386110 to the foot edge. Some minor loss of definition to corners and edges. Bases filled, part of the covers have come away from the bases, require attention. Hallmarks clear and legible, some minor rubbing to the maker's mark.
