Lot Description
A George V pair of silver candlesticks, having fluted sconces of campana form above the further fluted and tapering stems leading to the splayed and scalloped loaded foot, hallmarked Hawksworth, Eyre & Co Ltd., Sheffield 1911. Height measures 9 2/8 inches (23.5 cm).

Condition Report
In fair condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The bases are loaded. Each is stamped R D 273053 to the foot edge. The nozzles are unable to be detached, one is stuck in the opposite direction to the sconce, this sconce has heavier scratches and loss of definition with remnants of wax visible, small compression under sconce lip. The hallmarks are rubbed and worn but still legible.
