Lot Description

A George IV small silver salver, the circular form with floral and foliate rim enclosing scroll engraving to the centre with further foliage and flower motifs, and raised on three similarly embossed splay feet. Hallmarked Joseph Craddock & William Ker Reid, London 1820. Diameter measures 7 7/8 inches (20 cm), weight 12.82 ozt (398.6 grams).

The salver is quite heavily tarnished throughout and would benefit from a clean and polish. General surface wear, marks and scratching. Some larger heavier scratches visible to the centre. The embossed and engraved decoration appears in good condition. The hallmarks are clear and legible, maker's mark a little rubbed but still legible.
