Lot Description
A pair of napkin rings, of octagonal form with engraved cartouche amidst foliate engraving, marked Silver. Together with three assorted single examples, including a late Victorian silver napkin ring with beaded rim and vacant cartouche, hallmarked Henry Matthews, probably Birmingham 1897 and two 1970's napkin rings with engine-turned decoration, hallmarked Birmingham 1971 & 1973. Condition Report
In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The octagonal pair are only marked Silver, and engraved with an 'A' and a 'C'. The two 1970's examples are engraved with 'Mother' and 'Father', with some minor loss of definition to the edges. The lion passant and maker's mark on the Victorian example are rubbed but legible, the town mark is indistinct, the date letter is worn but slightly visible. All other hallmarks clear and legible.
