A continental silver letter holder, possibly German, pierced with a courting couple stood beneath a trellised arch. Marked 800 beside other indistinct marks, possibly crown and crescent beside maker's mark. Height measures 4 4/8 inches (11.5 cm), weight 1.92 ozt (59.8 grams).
