Lot Description

A German silver pepper, of shouldered form and having a pierced cover, decorated with a village fete scene with dancing figures and raised upon a footed base. Pseudo-Hanau marks beneath including a crowned B, seated lion, 800 and further marked 'Germany'. Height measures 4 4/8 inches (11.5 cm), weight 2.41 ozt (74.95 grams).

The pepper has an approx. 1.75 cm split or crack to the body and two small holes. Otherwise with general light rubbing throughout and the marks are clear and legible.
