Lot Description

A three piece silver tea service to include a teapot, twin-handled sugar bowl and milk jug, each of bulbous form with lobed lower body, gadrooned floral border rim, scroll foliate handles and dual initialled cartouche upon four stylised paw feet, the teapot with floral finial and ivory insulator to the handle, hallmarked Solomon Hougham, London 1815, the teapot dated 1816. Maximum height of teapot measures inclusive of handle 6 1/8 inches (15.5 cm), weight 39 ozt (1216. 2 grams).
